They tried to kill this lady every way they could think of: They lit her on fire, they gouged out her eyes, they tried to hang her..... the dagger in the chest finally did the trick. Does that constitute a miracle? Does that make her a saint? When I read about the miracles of saints, sometimes they don't seem so miraculous. Crying Statues. Jesus on Toast. Maybe miracles are just in the eye of the beholder....
 
Saint Lucia always carries her eyes with her, on a vine or a plate. She is the patron saint of sight, light, writers, AND stained glass makers!
